Our Services

Dental consultations are one of the most appreciated services we give to our patients.

Your private complimentary consultation is a “one on one” with dentist Dr. Jeff Berger. This appointment is scheduled after your initial examination. By scheduling the appointment, we are able to provide you with many more benefits. First, Dr. Berger will have time to review and research your case to provide you with several options. Second, a scheduled appointment allows you to invite loved ones to attend with you. We realize you often rely on the advice of family and friends when it comes to health and financial decisions, and we welcome them to attend the consultation.

Dr. Berger often tells his patients that this appointment is probably the most important appointment they will ever have with him. It’s the time you and he can come up with a game plan. He encourages you to take an approach that best fits you. This appointment will give you all the information you need and plenty of time to ask any questions.

White Fillings

Years ago, if your tooth was decaying, often a dentist would remove the decay and fill it with a metal filling. This metal filling was obvious when you opened your mouth. Today, decaying or broken teeth can be repaired with white, natural tooth colored fillings, inlays or onlays. This allows patients to retain their natural smile.

Tooth colored fillings bond to the tooth which strengthens it. Your tooth receives this benefit along with a filling that perfectly blends to match your smile! Ugly old mercury silver fillings which are leaking can often be replaced with these bonded fillings.

Inlays are used when the decay is within the cusps or projections of the tooth. Onlays are used when the decay extends into the cusps. In both cases, Dr. Jeff Berger will first take an impression of your tooth. This impression will be sent to the lab to make the inlay or onlay. Until the permanent one is made, you’ll be fitted with a temporary impression.

The benefits of Inlays and Onlays are numerous:

• Conserves more of the tooth structure than traditional metal fillings
• Natural appearing and virtually invisible
• Don’t expand or contract with hot or cold temperatures
• Longer lasting
• Help to strengthen teeth

Porcelain Crowns and Veneers

A porcelain crown is a covering that fits over your entire tooth. It’s often referred to as a dental cap. Porcelain Crowns are designed to look like your natural teeth.

After examining your teeth, Dr. Jeff Berger may recommend getting a porcelain crown. Crowns are used if your tooth is cracked, has bad structural damage or is weak. Dr. Berger will take an impression of your tooth. The impression will be sent off to the lab to create your permanent crown. Until it is ready, you’ll be fitted with a temporary crown.

Porcelain veneers will give you a beautiful white smile. A veneer is a tooth colored shell that is attached to the front of your tooth. Veneers help cover broken teeth, crooked teeth, stained teeth and gaps in the teeth. Typically porcelain veneers are placed on the entire smile line to create a beautiful, natural looking smile. If you’re looking for a smile makeover, porcelain veneers are a great option.

Root Canal Therapy

We offer root canal therapy in our office, usually in one visit. Removing the nerve of a tooth – may it be because of infection, or a dying tooth – enables you to retain a tooth which otherwise may have been lost.

Teeth Whitening

Many times patients are embarrassed because their teeth have turned yellow over the years from food and drinks, tobacco, age, genetics or poor dental hygiene. The great news is that teeth whitening is easy and can make a dramatic difference in your smile.

Dr. Jeff Berger achieves white teeth through bleaching. It’s easy, painless and relatively quick. We take molds of your teeth and make custom trays which hold bleaching material. Thirty minutes, twice a day, and you can have significantly whiter teeth.

Dr. Berger also offers Zoom Teeth Whitening. Give us a call to find out more.

Sedation Dentistry

If you’re nervous about going to the dentist, don’t worry. We can help. Your oral health shouldn’t suffer because you have anxiety. Dr. Jeff Berger offers two types of sedation dentistry.

Anxiolysis is a low-level sedation for patients with shorter appointments. If you’re having simple dental work, this is the route to go. If you’re having more complex dental procedures, then we offer conscious sedation. This is a deeper level of sedation, perfect for those with longer appointments. Both options work amazingly well and are perfect for our anxious patients. The sedation dentistry will allow patients to get the necessary dental work without remembering it.

If you’re nervous or anxious, just give us a call and ask us more about our sedation dentistry options.

Tooth Colored Fillings / Bondings

Unlike silver fillings, tooth colored fillings bond to the tooth which strengthens it. Your tooth receives this benefit along with a filling that perfectly blends to match your smile! Ugly old mercury silver fillings which are leaking can often be replaced with these bonded fillings.
